heightec’s new Work at Height Critical Injury Pack has been specifically designed to manage severe and life-threatening blood loss.
This is a stand-alone trauma pack but can be used to complement the standard work at height first aid kit.
It is designed to be portable and can be attached to a harness for easy carrying.
A critical injury pack is now specified as part of the recommended first aid provision for all high-risk environments under the Mast & Tower Safety Group (MATS) First Aid For Working At Height Guidance (GN-009).
The work at height critical injury pack conforms to British Standard BS8599-2:2019 Critical Injury Pack and includes non-standard first aid components.
Contents are arranged in specific areas to facilitate easy selection and removal, and are well contained to prevent loss of contents when opening at height.
Contents:
- HypaCover Trauma Dressings – highly absorbent dressings which soak up more blood than standard wound dressings.
- Chito-SAM Haemostatic Dressings – work independently of the body’s natural processes to clot blood fast.
- SAM XT tourniquets – can be used to occlude bleeding blood vessels in limbs.
The pack also includes a Casualty Record Card on water and tear-proof paper, with a double-ended pen for recording incident details.
Contained in a robust nylon case with zip-around opening. The case has reflective external markings, robust carry handle and attachment loop.
The bag size allows for content to be expanded or modified to suit specific work environment needs.
