Summary
We are looking for a sewing machinist who will use industrial sewing machines and heavy duty materials to assist in the manufacture of safety equipment and related products.
The work may involve some lifting.
Job Purpose
You will receive full training in the use of automated and manual industrial machines to produce sewn products for the work at height industry.
Responsibilities
- Sewing work at height safety products to a high standard
- Maintaining machinery and work area to an acceptable standard
- Complying with Health and Safety requirements
- Assembly of parts
- Inspection of parts and finished goods.
- Assist in the packaging and labelling
- Ensuring the work area remains clean, tidy and organised
- Cutting out materials
- Contribute to maintaining accurate stock levels
- Other duties as required
Experience
Sewing experience is preferred but full training will be given.
Personal Skills
Ability to work under pressure as well as having an excellent attention to detail.
Essential Skills
You will need the ability to follow written instruction and be willing to learn new skills.
